One way that Southlands can support those in need during this crisis is by donating blood. As schools and universities are closed, blood donations in our area have decreased by 40-50% while there is an increased demand. Donating blood is one way that you can actively help those in need. In Southlands previous forums on race this summer, we as a church have focused on why racial injustice in America exists and what the experience of our brothers and sisters in the church has been. At this next forum on Monday, August 3 at 7 pm, we will look at how we can build friendships that lead to racial reconciliation. On this evening we will hear from three sets of friends within the church about their experiences building cross-cultural friendships. All are welcome to help pass out food to those in our community who are in need. Kids are welcome to distribute food as long as accompanied by a parent/guardian.
